Senior Supply Chain Manager - to lead function

Our client is a €50m European-based confectionery business in search of a Supply Chain custodian for the UK subsidiary business worth £15m and growing.  The remit is simple; reporting to the General Manager you will lead the supply and logistics agenda for existing and new novel and seasonal sweet treat brands, manufactured and imported from 3rd party overseas suppliers.

Responsible for continuous review of 3PL efficiencies that address the customer universe needs, your role will ensure the supply chain constantly meets demand and evolves best practices. You will direct, promote, and drive capacity enhancing projects based on forecasted growth, working with the Commercial team to streamline a portfolio of more than 200 SKU’s. Your priority is reducing complexity, improving cost, managing inventory and developing better ways of working (BPI). This will include validation of data, analysis and capture of key risks/ops across the portfolio as part of the S&OP process.

The role requires a confident voice with local and Group colleagues. You’ll be a key influence, providing critical input to ‘Make or Buy’ decisions.

We are looking for a results-driven, ambitious Supply Chain Manager who will stop at nothing to be a success. Someone who craves autonomy to act in delivering day-to-day SC fundamentals. Your passion for excellence in supply/demand, entrepreneurial spirit and sheer determination to succeed will be as important as your understanding of classical SC principles.

To qualify you must have Supply Chain know-how in a comparable role, preferably from ambient food environments. You’ll be a natural planner and enjoy managing complex projects through others. Microsoft, SAP/SAGE literacy, Excel/analytical ability is a must and you’ll enjoy leading by example with positivity.
