Sales Director - luxury health & wellness/premium retail

Location: South East England
Base salary to £100,000 + bonus + benefits

Already a runaway success story of a start-up that has achieved way beyond the original expectations of the Founders, our client has accelerated its ambition, with heavyweight PE backing, to grow and deliver a plan that can demonstrably treble revenue in the next four years, especially with such a compelling and proven D2C consumer proposition in place.

Easily recognised as a true challenger premium health & wellness name in the vitamins and supplements sector, the board has now trained its sights on appointing, for the first time, an impressive Sales Leader who will unlock the huge untapped distribution potential knowingly available within existing and new retail trade customers.  Routes to market are mostly untapped and a discerning selective distribution strategy is key to success. Through deeper UK penetration, international expansion plus secondary category innovation, the goal is to champion a super-premium offering on home territory and become a leading player in key markets including Northern Europe and America.

This role is all about sales leadership, both customer acquisition, and team deployment. As an outright pioneer, you’ll have the growth mindset and proven ability to deliver incremental revenue in a role that offers a high degree of autonomy with a strong voice at the Boardroom and customer tables.  Your attitude as a sales entrepreneur is expected; someone who thrives on the idea of building commercial success from the start and can show their value instantly by way of sales structure and disciplined commercial know-how.

Under your clear leadership, you will raise the team standards and set a creative strategy, perfectly designed using your wide knowledge and blue-chip training backed by your track record of having done this before in large and SME businesses.
