12 month contract for interim NPD/Technical Manager - Chilled Food

Location: London based HQ
£350 per day

Our client is a €3 billion European dairy produce food business in search of an NPD/Technical custodian capable of finding "game-changing" processes and ingredients to support the company's growth aspirations. The remit is simple; reporting to the Marketing Manager you will own the full product development process for the flagship brand as the NPD expert for renovation projects. You will elevate marketing ideas/concepts into products, transferring research findings into product briefs for manufacturing.

The role requires you to lead and control product development processes from brief to final product including product recipes, sampling, tasting, product guidance recommendations, factory trials, and In-market testing. At the same time, you’ll be encouraged to apply your skill in the set-up of an improved innovation gate process.

Experienced and knowledgeable, you’ll be a strong and authoritative voice in front of Marketing and Insights teams as well as Group Technical, a small, fun yet serious collaborative of professionals. You’ll be a key influence, providing critical input to commercially focussed decisions for a brand in need of new enterprise.

We are looking for a results-driven, ambitious yet experienced Technical Manager who loves plenty of responsibility and project leadership; someone who will act in delivering day-to-day NPD fundamentals. Your passion for excellence in technical, ‘Foodie’ spirit and sheer determination to succeed will be as important as your understanding of classical NPD project principles.

To qualify you must have technical know-how in food preferably from chilled, fresh food or dairy environments. You’ll be a natural planner and enjoy managing complex projects through others. you’ll enjoy leading by example with positivity yet hold people to account.

Looking for real ownership and empowerment? This is a 12-month adventure you’ve been waiting for as your next interim gig.
