Now three years post UK national launch, our client is a true start-up FMCG business with significant financial backing, preparing for an IPO flotation in Spring 2022.
In the business of consumer health & wellness categories this private enterprise, led by an impressive Board of Directors, is in ‘the race to the top’ as a highly topical new product concept for consumers that is set to transform the world quite literally.
With the combination of newly created listed brands, a 15 strong organisation now in place, and the added complexity of integrating recent acquisitions the opportunity in this truly revolutionary category is second to none for an ambitious ‘step up’ Supply Chain Professional.
We need a qualified SC leader as a Head of Supply Chain to spearhead the combined business with a hybrid supply chain model currently in place, though with a clear new model in mind. The Board expects a strong voice to lead an entire SC strategy, manage existing JV projects and show a hands-on approach to the all-important execution of day-to-day supply optimisation into the UK grocery, health & beauty retail and pureplay online trade channels.
Highly operational, the agility to deal with the ever-changing commercial landscape, as well as knowing your subject matter like no other, you will be no stranger to making an impact and contribution at pace.
At the helm of a small team, you will continually identify emerging efficiencies that address the shifting, newly regulated category needs to ensure the supply chain constantly meets demand and best practice. You will direct, promote and drive capacity enhancing projects based on forecasted growth. Your priority is reducing complexity of an outsourced US/UK Joint venture model. This will include validation of current processes, detailed analysis, and articulated capture of key risks/ops across the current portfolio to future-proof S&OP in the likely event of shifting supply to UK providers in the near term.
The role requires a strong and authoritative voice with Regulatory, Commercial, Marketing, Finance colleagues. You will be a key influence, providing critical input to management decision-making.
We are looking for a results-driven, experienced Supply Chain Professional who will stop at nothing to deliver success. Someone who understands the SME world, enjoys autonomy and freedom to act in delivering SC fundamentals. Your passion for excellence in supply/demand, entrepreneurial spirit will be as important as your expertise of classical SC principles.
To qualify, you must have Supply Chain know-how. You’ll be a natural planner and enjoy managing complexity. Excel/analytical ability is a must, and you’ll lead by example with positivity yet hold people to account.
