With a progressive, energised and dynamic senior leadership team, this successful FMCG business is challenging convention all the time. With the power of instantly recognisable brands, there is always a pipeline of positive news to discuss with customers. Our client, a £20m recently acquired UK subsidiary of a major European food group, is now looking for an inspiring Category Manager to complement the commercial function tasked with doubling revenue in the next five years. The winning formula to this role is bringing heartfelt passion for insight to an already consumer-focused business.

Today, the key to ever more meaningful trade relationships is the “voice of category” – unlocking essential consumer and shopper insight plus building the category agenda both internally and with the customer universe. Your role will support the development of marketing and technical initiatives relating to innovation and NPD. Alongside your equal in the team, you will both be the ‘go-to’ answer for information on the consumer, shopper, and customer. Reporting to the Marketing Director you will share a full category strategy across three indulgent brands and four category occasions…there’s a lot to get your teeth stuck into!

We are looking for a hands-on technically savvy category operator who loves the implementation aspect of their role but who is equally adept and fascinated by ideation, new thinking and visioning the future as an insight expert.

To be successful you’ll need confidence, influence, strength of character, an infectious personality with the ability to bring people with you across every function.
